People-centred care¶
Explanation¶
In all activities, we place people at the centre—patients, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Rationale¶
We provide care to citizens and support healthcare professionals. A strong focus on well-being, experience, and collaboration improves patient outcomes, enhances the quality of care, and contributes to more efficient and sustainable healthcare delivery.
Implications¶
- We listen to and take into account what all stakeholders say.
- We ensure communication is understandable for the citizen.
- Care processes are designed so that professional and citizen decide together (“shared decision-making”).
- We communicate and treat digitally where possible, while considering citizens with limited digital skills.
- We enable citizens to take control, e.g. by adding data to their record.
- We provide care at home when possible, in institutions when necessary.
- We contribute to the health and wellbeing of employees.
- Employees are encouraged to bring forward new ideas and are involved in changes.
- We enable location- and time-independent work where possible.
- We automate repetitive work.
- We ensure a user-friendly and inclusive experience briging cultural differences.
